Special Achievement It is my honor and great pleasure to inform you that six of our members have been upgraded to Fellow Member this year. I have known Larry Jones and John Leipper for many years and personally value their friendship, knowledge and skill in the system safety engineering discipline. Each has an outstanding record of service and dedication to improving the state of our chosen field and the mentoring of us all. Join me in congratulating them upon their achievement of the highest professional honor that can be awarded to our members. Being a Fellow Member signifies that they have selflessly contributed their time, their effort and a sincere goal to enhance the professionalism above that achieved by most of us. They will be formally recognized and awarded their achievement during the 26th International System Safety Conference to be held in Vancouver BC, Canada, August 25-29, 2008.
